What Is Shipping Rate Testing?

With TestSignal, you can A/B test your Shopify shipping strategy to find the best balance between conversion, AOV, and profit. That includes testing flat rates, free-shipping thresholds, and more complex conditional rates.

How does it work?

We use Shopify’s Third-Party Rate Carrier API to dynamically serve different shipping options to your customers based on the test group they’re assigned. When the test starts, the shipping rates you select for experimentation are temporarily removed from Shopify’s default rates.

How can I get started?

Running your first Shipping test with TestSignal is super easy. To get started, you’ll need to enable the TestSignal extension in your theme. Simply go to your Shopify Online Store and click Customize, then navigate to the App Embeds section. Locate the TestSignal app toggle, turn it on, and save your changes. Once this is done, your first experiment is ready to roll!
